Hallowee 2008

We went to our friend's house for Halloween. We all had a blast! The children made off like bandits with the candy, and we adults had a wonderful time! Thank you Joe and Laurie for such a wonderful time!

Our Carving Party

It is that time of year again. My favorite. Still have not gotten used to the Fall weather here in Florida (don't know if I ever will). We have had cool weather today, it has been nice. The children carved their pumpkins (have to either keep them inside, or carve the day before halloween as they melt..lol) They had so much fun!

Each drew the face they wanted and Daddy carved them. They had a blast pulling the seeds out!

All that is missing is the apple cider, and carmel apples..... Here are the pictures.

My Joshua is growing!!!

Joshua is getting to be such a big boy! This is his first kindergarten picture. (notice the toothless grin...he is so proud of it!!) Oh he is growing so fast!!!

Adryan Kenton is Here!

Well, today my oldest son and his girlfriend welcomed his first son into the world. Michael has a daughter Jadyn who is going to be three, and Amber has a son Zack who is 2.

Adryan Kenton Stambaugh was born at Wilson Memorial Hospital this morning at 7:42 am. He was 6 lbs 13 1/2 oz, and 19.25" long. His head circumfrence was 14 cm. He is such a cuties. Michael sent me this picture right after Adryan came into the world. He has all his fingers and toes, and as you can see is such a precious gift from God! Congratualtions, Michael and Amber, Jadyn and Zack. We love you all!!

A Grandma Again!

Well those of you who know me, know that in addition to Joshua-5, Abbi and Hannah-4, I also have an older son, Michael. Michael-23. Michael has a
daughter Jadyn-2 who shares a birthday with Joshua. (yes I am the *g* word) lol

On Monday, Sep 29, he will be experiencing the birth of his son, Adryan. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to be there, however.... I am making a ton if items for the little guy!
Here is the diaper bag I made for him.
I am working on the burps/bibs and the diaper wipe container, and what ever else I have time for! lol

Please keep Michael, Amber, Jadyn, Zack and baby Adryan in your prayers! hugs!

Joshua lost his first tooth!!

Before I left for Chicago last week, Josh discovered his bottom front tooth was loose. Oh this was just amazing, (he so wanted to loose a tooth..lol) So each day we were on tooth wiggle watch.
He was at school on Friday, in the lunch room and pop, his tooth came out!! His teacher was so sweet, she put it in a little plastic box and made sure it came home in his bag.
When I got in Friday evening, I went in to give the children kisses and he woke up to tell me all about his tooth. So... as he went back to sleep I took some money and stuck it under his pillow.
5:30 am Saturday morning..... He comes rushing in our room...
"Look!!! The Tooth-Fairy came and left me money" The look on his face was so precious!
I think everyone in Manatee County has seen the whole in Joshua's mouth. Too cute!!!!

Who are you .... part 4

If you live by faith and believe these are the signs that will follow you, then they will! Obey God and the signs will manifest themselves as you do what He asks you to do. Mark 16:17

Who are you? Chosen! God chose you because He loves you. He thought about you before you were formed in your mother’s womb and still loved you anyway! He created you out of His choice for you! Find confidence in God’s choosing of you for life. 1 Peter 2:9

Who are you? A royal priesthood! That means you are a conduit of God’s Word and His gospel. You are a representative for Him! What an incredible thing to be God’s reflection for others to see! 1 Peter 2:9

Who are you? A holy nation! What that means is God made you holy by His grace and forgiveness and has set you apart for His use! You have purpose, you have destiny. Being connected to God opens you up to live out your created purpose. You are a person of destiny! 1 Peter 2:9


Who are you? A person belonging to God! If that’s the case, He will not ever leave you hanging. God’s hands are big enough to hold your greatest need, His riches are more than enough for life. Take confidence in the fact that you belong to God! 1 Peter 2:9

Who are you? One who declares God’s praises! You are a living vessel of praise to God- the reason for the creation of man! Let it out! You declare His praises because you belong to Him. Be a praiser and worshiper of God. You will have a depth of relationship with God that the shallow will never achieve. 1 Peter 2:9

Who are you? Sent! You are sent into the world with the hope you have. That hope is Jesus, the answer to salvation. Don’t hide it! Be bold! Have compassion for others, see their need for a savior. You’ve been sent with a command. Go! Mark 16:15

Meditate daily on Romans 8:16-17

Who are you? The salt of the earth! What that means is this: Just as salt is a preserver of food, you are the preserver of absolute truth on the earth. That absolute truth is the Word of God and what His word declares. It is the absolute truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Show that truth to those around you! Matthew 5:13

Who are you? The light of the world! You are a light in a world of darkness. You’ve been sent to be that light. That light is the absolute truth of the Gospel. Don’t hide your light but let it boldly shine before others! Matthew 5:14

Who are you? You are known to God! God knows you as an individual. You are His child and He knows you as such. He knows the particulars of your life. The ups, the downs, your needs, the good and the bad. He not only knows you, but He cares and wants to be involved in the particulars of your life. Remember, the Bible says He will never leave you or forsake you. Believe it! Jeremiah 1:5

Who are you? You are set apart! What that means is, when you gave your life to God, He released your calling of purpose that sets you apart. You need to discover what that is by simply growing in Him and listening to His voice. God made everyone with an unique, individual purpose. No one was left out in this! Jeremiah 1:5

Who are you? You are appointed! With the purpose God made you with, He has set up appointments throughout your life for that purpose. In other words, God has a plan for you that will utilize you and bring fulfillment to your life. We stay on His plan by staying close to Him, listening His voice and obeying. Of course we know that if we stay in His plan, everything will turn out good. The Bible says that God works for the good of those who love Him! Jeremiah 1:5

Who are you? You are equipped! In other words, whatever God has purposed you to do He has given you what you need to do it! God never calls you to do anything that He leaves you shorthanded in doing. He has given you what you need to start and as you grow in Him more will come. Know that you can do whatever it is God has purposed you to do! Read about Moses and Egypt. God called Moses to get the people out and then equipped him to do so. Exodus 3-15 (I know its long, but read it over a couple of days).

Who are you? Simply put, a Christian! Don’t be ashamed. Don’t worry about the politically correct world. Don’t worry about what others say. Be unashamed of the faith you have. Be unashamed of the lifestyle of the believer. You will be rewarded for it! Romans 1:16

Today, the children were so wound up!! Joshua has learned the cutest song at kindergarten. Abbi loves to sing "Sing Sing Sing", Hannah was not sure what she wanted, but wanted to say Hi to Grandpa Bob! So I just had to share!!

Who are you? Imitator of God! In all you do, as He becomes greater and you become less as you are transformed into His likeness as you chase Him with your life, you will be an imitator of Him. You will be a reflection of God! Ephesians 5:1-2

Who are you? A reflection of the Lord’s glory! In other words, a great witness. As He is changing you His reflection is there for everyone to see. Let it shine before everyone! 2 Corinthians 3:18

Who are you? Possessor of life! True life. Life now because you are connected to God, who is the true life. Life eternally because you have been saved. Let that bring a constant joy to you! 1 John 5:11-12

Who are you? Led by the Spirit! If you are child of God, then you can be led by the Spirit in what you do in your everyday life. Spend time with God each day and listen. You will be able to hear Him. A life ordered by God is a life secured. Romans 8:14

Who are you? Possessor of absolute truth! You know the way of true salvation. That truth sets you free! Freedom from sin and it’s effects. Freedom into life. John 8:31-32
Who are you? The Temple of the Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit dwells in you. Act like it. Treat your body like it. You are not your own. God made you and then bought you with a price: The death of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Who are you? Possessor of authority! When you gave your life to Jesus you were given authority over the works of the enemy. You have it, use it in the name of Jesus. The signs of a believer will then follow you (see the next devo!). Luke 10:19

Who we are in Christ

Was reading this today and it really hit home!

Meditate daily on Romans 8:16-17

Who are you? Saved! You have been secured by God for an eternal life with him and snatched from the torment of hell! Be confident of this fact. It is the hope. If you are God’s child, then you are saved. Live like it! John 3:16

Who are you? Forgiven! Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins. Just ask for forgiveness with a repentant heart and it is done. It’s easy! Then live your forgiveness out. Ephesians 1:7

Who are you? Made new! When you were forgiven you were made new on the inside. Given a new, fresh start. Now live it out! It takes your best, but God gave His best so we can be forgiven. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Who are you? Free from condemnation! In other words, since you have been forgiven of your sins and made new, you no longer need to feel guilty for your past sins. Don’t feel like a failure over what God has forgiven you for. Condemnation is of the devil. In Jesus you have been freed from it! Romans 8:1

Who are you? Blessed! If you use your faith to receive what the Bible has for you then you will be blessed. See the things the Word says are for God’s children. It can be yours! Galatians 3:9

Who are you? A conqueror! Over what? Whatever is contrary to God. Sin, the enemy’s schemes, temptation, etc. You have to believe it. Do not make excuses for sin in your life. Be changed by God’s power. Be charged up by God’s power. You will be a conqueror. Romans 8:3

Who are you? Someone who can do all things! What has God said in His Word and to your heart that you are to do? Whatever it is, you can do it because of the strength and help of Jesus! Ask Him for help. Lean on Him. What seems to be impossible will be possible to you. Philippians 4:13

Philippians 4:13 is one of my favorite scriptures! Have a wonderful day!

First Week of School

Well Joshua has fared well. He says "it is a blast!". Next week he starts going all day! He loves the children in his class, and loves that he gets to go to the lunch room and order his food. Yesterday, he said he got "a hamburger, peaches, and chocolate milk." I was impressed that my son, who acts like his is choking to death when eating vegitables and some fruit, was eating peaches. I commented on such and he informed me that no...he did not eat the peaches, he just drank the juice..... Does that count?? lol

Our Joshua started kindergarten

Oh, today was my lil'l boy's first day in Kindergarten! He was so cute! He was so ready! Josh got up at 5 am and was dressed. This year he has to wear uniforms. He had his book bag, and was so ready. We walked to the school and he went in. Mom walked home with tears in my eyes, I was so proud. The girls go to VPK starting Sept 2. Here are his first day pictures.
